M&T Musik und Technik takes over the distribution of Schector Basses

Spector Musical Instruments, the legendary manufacturer of electric basses from New York, has announced that Musik und Technik a Division of Musik Meyer GmbH will formally distribute Spector basses and accessories in Germany and Austria. The new partnership will see M&T managing and implementing regional sales and distribution strategies in their territory.

“M&T have consistently shown how passionately and skilfully they work to ensure that great products get into the hands of their customers. We are happy to see a company like M&T take on the distribution in this vital territory and look forward to partnering with them to expand Spector’s presence throughout Germany,” says KORG USA, Inc. and Spector Musical Instruments President Joe Castronovo.

Spector basses have been in production since 1976 when founder Stuart Spector first hand-crafted the NS-1 in Brooklyn, NY; a truly innovative bass designed for the modern bass player. Since then, Spector has grown to become one of the dominant brands in the electric bass category. With support from legendary artists like Doug Wimbish, Garry Tallent, and Rudy Sarzo, countless devoted fans worldwide, and over 40 years of experience, Spector basses have established themselves as the authority on modern bass design. With all-new models debuted for 2019, including the Euro LT, EuroBolt, & Performer Series, Spector’s robust line-up of basses includes a solution for players of all styles.

“With their exceptional history and robust line of bass guitars, Spector has an incredible reputation amongst players, artists and retailers worldwide, so the decision to distribute them was an easy one,” says Michael Baader, General Manager of M&T.”
